Position Summary

The
Graduate Admissions Advisor within the College of Arts and
Sciences
will be responsible for the recruitment, communication, and processing of graduate applications across departments
and programs in the College of Arts and Sciences by working directly with Directors of Graduate Study to ensure that prospective students
are appropriately supported throughout the application review process. Through the use of excellent customer service, interpersonal,
marketing, and recruitment skills, they will work to recruit best-fit students for Master’s, PhD, and Advanced Certificate programs across
the College. Ideal candidates can manage multiple competing priorities, are comfortable working in a team environment and with varied
populations (i.e., prospective students, applicants, faculty, campus service units) to reach shared enrollment goals. Specifically,
qualified candidates will possess modern communication skills; ability to write quality, targeted content for recruitment materials; and
experience or exposure to CRM functionality.

As the Graduate Admissions Advisor you
will:

  • Attend Graduate School fairs (in-person and virtually) on behalf of the College of Arts and
    Sciences.
  • Develop sector-based recruitment plans that meet the needs of individual departments and programs and will successfully
    attract new markets of graduate students.
  • Provide guidance and support to the centralized application processing team members to
    ensure timely review of applications by departmental admissions committees and ensure rules and regulations are followed.
  • Plan and
    execute graduate recruitment events on campus and within the community; work with departments and central offices to hold information
    sessions, open houses, and other online and in-person events.
  • Assist with the development of written, graphical, audio, and video
    content for the College of Arts and Sciences’ websites, social media, print collateral, and various digital projects.
  • Oversee the
    activities of graduate student ambassadors and supervise their participation in an online platform that connects prospective and current
    students.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2
    years experience working in a college admission setting and student recruitment experience; consideration will be given to a related field
    with preference to those who can demonstrate breadth and depth in the development and implementation of successful recruitment strategies,
    particularly within a large, public university setting.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills are
    required.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Active on social media channels.
  • Willing to assume a small amount of
    travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Range

$51,000 – $55,000
