We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced pediatric intensivist-medical director to lead our practice at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. We are looking for a well-trained and enthusiastic team-orientated individual, that is dedicated to providing excellent care for our pediatric patients. This is a new unit for the hospital, so the Medical Director will be intimately involved in the development and growth of the unit, with strong system support from both the Hospital and fellow PICU practice. Coverage includes a 6 bed PICU Sub-specialty support is available Responsibilities will include admissions and management of patients in the PICU, consultations with families and referring physicians Oversight of the practice and will work closely with hospital administration, as well as our regional management team Providing growth and mentorship to other physicians; taking on leadership roles within the hospital and community Marietta is considered one of the best places to live in the metro Atlanta area and one of Atlanta’s largest suburbs. Marietta is 15 miles northwest of Atlanta and the Cobb County seat. It provides visitors and residents an exciting selection of local attractions, annual events, recreational activities, sport venues, and a growing environment of industry and commerce. At the center of it all is the antebellum Glover Park and fun-filled Marietta Square, with a farmers market, live music, and festivals throughout the year. Marietta has become known for its excellent public schools.
Cobb County Schools consistently ranks well in Georgia, with several schools in Marietta receiving National Blue-Ribbon awards. There are many housing options as well, including new construction residences, historic homes, townhomes, condominiums, and urban lofts.
