Altamonte Springs, Florida, Description Pharmacy Technician II – AdventHealth – Altamonte Infusion Center Work Hours/Shift: Full Time You Will Be Responsible For: Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in: Standard work parameters Operational programs Delivery and compounding systems Hospital computer systems Medication ordering systems Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by Central Pharmacy IV Room Delivery Controlled Substances Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient â specific medication doses Qualifications What You Will Need: Required: High school degree Registered Pharmacy Technician in their respective state If applicable to facility Sterile Compounding Certification Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare One year of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) Job Summary: Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. To provide safe and accurate medication services and to support all those involved in direct patient care.
