Schedule :   M-F and alternating weekends Shift : Mornings/Afternoons The community you’ll be caring for: ·          Flagler is a charming seaside community that is part of the Palm Coast ·          The Palm Coast area is a growing community resulting in the current construction of a second hospital scheduled to open in late 2022 ·          Stroll through a secluded nature preserve on one of the many biking and walking paths including the Great Florida Birding Trail. ·          From saltwater fishing to deep sea diving, sprawling golf courses to oceanfront restaurants, you’ll have plenty of ways to spend your free time and enjoy the warm weather – all right in your backyard ·          With close proximity to Daytona Beach, St. Augustine, Jacksonville and Orlando, you’ll have easy access to some of Florida’s most renowned hotspots and world-class attractions The role you’ll contribute: Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. Supports pharmacists and provides distributive pharmacy services. To provide safe and accurate medication services and to support all those involved in direct patient care.

The value you’ll bring to the team:   Pharmacy Operations Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in standard work parameters, hospital and pharmacy specific computer systems, and operational programs. Maintains operational expertise & competency & actively provides coverage of at least two of the following:: • Central/distributive pharmacy operations • Sterile compounding • Decentral/ Automated Dispensing Cabinet delivery pharmacy operations • Controlled substance Handling   AND  at least one of the following: • Hazardous Medication Sterile Compounding • Quality Assurance & USP required sampling • Technician Inventory Check (i. e. , tech check tech where authorized) • Medication History • Supporting Clinical Services • Purchasing and Inventory Management -OR- Maintains knowledge of the following: • Central/Distributive Pharmacy • IV Room/Sterile compounding • Decentral/ Automated Dispensing Cabinet delivery pharmacy operations • Controlled Substances handling AND performs primary job function as: • Medication History technician OR Inventory specialist Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: High school diploma or equivalent One year of hospital pharmacy experience (retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history function in lieu of hospital experience) Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license or current Pharmacist Intern license Preferred current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) or from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
