Locations: Boise, Meridian, and Nampa opportunities available Hours: Variable shifts Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays Schedules available: Full-time, Part-Time, and Flex/PRN An Outpatient Pharmacy Technician assists our pharmacists with the preparation and delivery of medications for our patients. Our Outpatient Team has a wide variety of roles which include: Meds-to-Beds Technicians (M2B) fulfill medications for our patients preparing to discharge so they are able to take home their prescriptions and eliminate the time and energy wasted going to the pharmacy after discharge. The Outpatient Meds to Beds Technician conveniently delivers the medications ordered in their discharge treatment to their bedside. Medication Historian Technicians (MHT’s) work directly with our patients reviewing their medication history with them at the bedside. MHT’s reach out to our patients’ pharmacies to review their lists of recently filled medications, and to current providers to obtain their most up-to-date medication history. This allows our technicians to review their medication lists for discrepancies, have changes validated by pharmacists, and work closely with the attending providers offering feedback of major findings that may have been missed. Medication Historian Technicians work in a dynamic environment with other interdepartmental disciplines like inpatient pharmacists, nurses, and case management/social work to provide the highest, safest quality of care available.

Med Locker Technicians prepare and deliver patient medications to our Med Lockers conveniently located in our St. Luke’s Plaza, Magic Valley Medical Center and McCall Medical Center. Med Locker Techs communicate with patients when their prescriptions are ready for pick up, allowing them to pick up at their own convenience. Outpatient Pharmacy Technicians (Central Staffing) who work in our main pharmacies assist the pharmacist in the preparation and delivery of medications for our patients. Outpatient technicians have direct patient contact and rotate through filling, prescription input, insurance claims, curbside, coordinate Med syncing and assisting patients at the counter. Outpatient technicians enjoy the hustle of working in fast paced environment with our fantastic team members. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician License required Two (2) years’ experience preferred Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred Why St. Luke’s A strong, talented staff is at the heart of St. Luke’s Health System.
