Santa Fe, New Mexico, Description CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a not-for-profit integrated health system located in the beautiful mountain-west city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe sees over 300 sunny days per year, all four seasons, commute times around 15 minutes, and offers an abundance of outdoor activities, as well as a thriving cultural, art, food, and music scene. We have easy access to skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, fishing, and more. Our 200 bed facility is a Level III trauma center, the only trauma center in Northern New Mexico, is a Mayo Clinic Care Network Member, and serves a seven county area with over 300,000 residents. The psychiatrist will develop and document a plan of care for each patient, administer appropriate treatment and/or referral, and conduct consults in ED and med/surg units. Makes informed diagnostic and therapeutic decisions based on patient information, current scientific evidence, clinical judgment and patient preference. Prescribes and performs competently all medical procedures considered essential for the scope of practice. The psychiatrist will provide 7 consecutive days of inpatient care with call and 13 days of outpatient clinic per month. Requirements Medical School graduate with a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an approved medical school, or possession of Standard Certificates as issued by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Active, unrestricted medical license in the state(s) of practice required. Board certified or eligible. Dual boarded in psychiatry and addiction medicine preferred but not required. Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
