Lifestance Health Maine   Lifestance Health in Portland, Maine (formerly known as The Counseling Center of New England) is offering two postdoctoral fellowship positions in Clinical Psychology for the 2023-2024 postdoctoral training year. The focus of this track will include supervised clinical experiences in brief assessment, case conceptualization and treatment planning, clinical intervention, and professional development within the framework of a group private practice. Fellows will have the opportunity to be a part of weekly scholarly activities and consultation, including didactics, with the training cohort located in New Hampshire, in addition to weekly individual supervision with their supervisors in Maine. Postdoctoral fellows will receive support and direction in completing their application for a Maine psychology license at the end of their postdoctoral year and requirements for Maine licensure will be met by the fellowship program. While the track overall is Generalist, Lifestance Health is pleased to offer opportunities for specialized supervision in working with the LGBTQA+ community, providing evidence-based trauma treatment to adolescents and adults (Trauma Focused-CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and Written Exposure Therapy), treating substance abuse, and helping clients navigate identity development and life stage transitions. Supervisors and postdoctoral fellows will be matched based on clinical expertise and goals for the postdoctoral training year. In terms of assessment, there will be opportunities to integrate brief measures (i. e. , PHQ-9, GAD, PCL-5) into diagnostic clarification, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and assessing treatment progress. There will also be opportunities to gain training and supervised clinical experience in providing gender-affirming surgery evaluations and letter writing for transgender and gender diverse clients.

The training year is a twelve-month commitment that has a flexible start date for the 2023-2024 training year, although our goal is to have a cohort of fellows. Fellows will receive a full twelve-month stipend of $47,500. Each fellow will receive the choice of health insurance, optional dental insurance, 401k assistance, FSA plan, dependent childcare expenses, and long-term disability plans. Application Requirements: Letter of interest outlining past training as well as fellowship and career goals; Current curriculum vitae; Three letters of recommendation (from faculty and/or clinical supervisors) addressing competency in areas of clinical work, record keeping, peer consultation/relationships, and report writing; One de-identified writing sample of case conceptualization and/or treatment plan in order for to review competency at treatment planning and clinical note writing.   We will be accepting application documents though email.
