Summary
Meets with students individually or in small groups to provide academic support related to course
content, course-related readings and course-related written assignments so students can successfully complete their coursework; as well as
provides instruction, teaching and guidance in the area of academic success skills

Essential Job Functions
- Tutors students on specific course
content, course-related readings and course-related written assignments - Tutors students in the area of academic success skills
(e.g. learning strategies, time management, etc.) - Coordinates tutoring goals with advisers, academic counselors and faculty to
effectively meet student needs - Attends tutor training sessions and staff meetings, as applicable
- Administers
individualized tests to students with accommodations - Performs other duties as assigned
Required
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Ability to read and comprehend mathematical problems and
concepts - Ability to assess and communicate mathematical knowledge effectively to students
Preferred
Qualifications
- Experience tutoring college level basic math, algebra, and statistics
- Experience tutoring
individual students and groups
Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily
commuting distance of the Charlotte Campus location upon hire.
