The College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) is growing! Join our dynamic Academic Support team on the Downtown Phoenix campus. CISA is seeking an organized and detail-oriented person to provide exceptional customer service. This position will interact and serve as a liaison with students, faculty, and staff to serve our team and meet college-wide goals.

CISA is an interdisciplinary multi-campus college with an applied and experiential learning approach. As one of three liberal arts colleges at ASU, CISA offers foundational instruction in humanities, social and natural sciences, mathematics and professional fields to provide students across ASU with the knowledge and skills to comprehend and effectively engage the changing world locally, nationally and globally. This position will be based on the Downtown Phoenix campus.

Salary Range

$41,500 – $45,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

Front Desk

  • Oversee front desk operations for Academic Support.
  • Assist with supervising, training, and management of student workers on the Downtown Phoenix campus.
  • Greet visitors and guests to the suite both in-person and via phone calls. This includes mail distribution, inventory audits, and special projects.
  • Manage responses to general CISA inbox via Salesforce.
  • Coordinate with instructors on classroom questions.

Academic Support Projects

  • Coordinate textbook orders for the college. Work with faculty, the Bookstore, and Follett on requests. Audit textbook orders each semester to ensure students will have access to materials.
  • Assist with syllabi audit each semester. Ensure instructors submit their syllabus prior to each semester session. Keep our sample syllabus updated with general policies.
  • Work on Curriculum Team projects such as Catalog Review, Interdisciplinary Studies Concentration review, and General Studies review.
  • Serve as a backup member of the Academic Integrity team in an administrative support capacity. Assist with files and communication to keep records updated and organized in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare agendas for regular meetings.
  • Use systems such as Wrike, Microsoft/Google suite, Kuali, Follett, Peoplesoft, Analytics, and Asset Tiger to keep records updated and organized.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Six years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Experience in a higher education setting providing academic support.
  • Experience supervising staff or student employees.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Expeirence in managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Strong proficiency in time management and project management skills.
  • Demonstrate a solutions-focused mindset and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Experience at building relationships with diverse stakeholders with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Experience with ASU systems and technology such as, Salesforce, Peoplesoft, Kuali, data analytics, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

Working Environment

  • This position is eligible for hybrid work. This is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of 60% of their regular workweek at their primary ASU work location.
  • Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of office equipment such as computer, phone, printer, etc.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a complex structured team, and work from general instructions on standard job duties and specific directions on new assignments.
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
