Client Account Services is embarking on a multi-year programme to deliver Strategic improvements to the way data is viewed, managed and interpreted across the bank. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager or someone looking to move into projects to work across various stakeholder groups to propel the effective implementation of strategic initiatives within the programme. This will involve overseeing a range of workstreams, designing workshops and solving complex problems to enable the successful delivery of the programme. Effective stakeholder management, combined with a sound understanding of business processes, will be critical to the success of this role.

This role partners extensively key stakeholders in the respective businesses, operations and technology partners, and transition teams in order to execute the strategy. You will gain exposure to various management structures within Securities Services and Markets businesses and the candidate will need to be able to interact and create strong partnerships across various teams and locations.

Job responsibilities

  • Produce project materials at all stages of project development lifecycle – status tracking, process flows, business use cases, gap analyses, governance and future state models, clearly define objectives, lead the development and monitoring of the overarching programme plan, as well as oversee workstreams to ensure the timely and efficient execution of that plan
  • Review project materials with stakeholders and coordinate sign offs of deliverables
  • Lead project coordination effort with major business and technology stakeholders
  • Provide support for the production of project and programme communication materials; as well as manage timely execution of the plan and provide regular updates to project stakeholders
  • Balance short term needs with long term strategic view and wherever necessary create short term solutions until the long term solution is ready
  • Ensure projects are completed within established time and budget schedules and in compliance to enterprise project management standards for the respective programme
  • Lead the design and facilitation of periodic programme workshops in order to drive key programme outcomes and objectives, whilst fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Extensive experience in managing complex projects from inception to delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively communicate across different teams and levels of seniority
  • Strong analytical background, problem solving and communication skills are necessary
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and ability to present compelling information in clear and succinct way
  • Solution oriented, leveraging a network to identify solutions and implement them
  • Ability to influence outcomes and get the best from people, even where no direct line management responsibility exists
  • Self-starter, proactive in taking initiative to improve business processes with the ability to see risks/issues before they arise and effectively escalate or mitigate

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Marketing experience a plus
  • A flexible proactive approach, ability to adapt to business change
  • Proven ability to work with globally dispersed project teams and stakeholders; and ability to successfully interact with business stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast passed environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
