Radiologic Technologist- Cardiovascular Procedure Center-Days

Saint Louis, Missouri, Additional Information About the Role Barnes Jewish Hospital is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to work in their Cardiovascular Procedure Center.   Day shift 4 10 hour shifts  M-F 7am- 5:30pm Call is required, every 4th weekend and once a week 5:30pm-6:30m Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation’s top hospitals by U. The Cardiac Cath Lab, a division of the Cardiovascular Procedure Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, is on the leading edge of technology. Patients have been among the first to benefit from advanced angioplasty techniques, valvuloplasty and percutaneous valve replacements. The Cardiac Cath Lab has a 97% success rate in acute interventional cases and a current rate of 100% of STEMI patients receiving emergency percutaneous cardiac intervention within 90 minutes. The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills, clinical expertise and critical care skills to continually assess the patients’ hemodynamic, neurologic and respiratory response to the varied procedures performed in the lab.

The Staff Nurse (RN) is responsible for administering conscious sedation to patients during these procedures as well continually assessing their level of sedation and managing their airway. The Staff Nurse (RN) always puts the patients needs first by being a patient advocate in all aspects of care. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Advanced Modality Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization, Fluoroscopy) to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.   Responsibilities Completes registration and prepares patients for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism. Performs radiographic imaging examinations. � Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience No Experience Supervisor Experience No Experience Licenses & Certifications IEMA – Illinois only R. T.
