Schedule: Full Time Shift : Day Location: Advent Health Littleton- 7700 S Broadway Littleton, CO, 80122 The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Littleton 231 Licensed Beds, 9 Surgical Suits, 36 Emergency Department beds The first hospital in Colorado to receive accreditation as a Geriatric ED by The American College of Emergency Physicians State-of-the-art neuro and spine care, advanced neuro-guidance and neuro-interventional, and dedicated neuro ICU. Designated Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) The role you’ll contribute: The Director, Clinical Excellence will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing the organization’s quality, patient safety, and high-reliability programming that will be fully responsive to the designing and development of programs that fully respond to the ongoing changes in regulatory requirements, and meet the demands of Healthcare Reform, Value Based Purchasing and other payment programs. This position will also be responsible for the design and implementation of clinical education and professional development programming that supports the organization’s ongoing integration of advances in evidence-based practice and research, ongoing professional practice development and clinical education programming, as well as strategic planning and action plan development to enable the organization to achieve and maintain high reliability status. The value you’ll bring to the team: Develops programs that support clinical areas on data management activities and projects with significant clinical complexity and organizational scope.
Develops and maintains quality management program that supports the organization’s short and long-term goals, regulatory requirements and organizational imperatives. Designs and provides leadership oversight for quality management system through robust key performance indicator measurement, analysis and performance improvement. Designs and provides leadership oversight for analysis and reporting on statistical trends, problems, and potential issues in patient care and services. Participates in or leads project teams in clinical departments to investigate, develop and implement corrective plans, and monitor their effectiveness. Oversees quality management program that ensures timely and accurate submission of clinical care quality and patient safety data to appropriate internal departments and outside agencies. Develops the vision, strategy, gap analysis and tactical plans for achieving high reliability and improved patient outcomes. Collaborates with other nursing leaders to establish a professional practice environment that embodies the Professional Practice Model. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed : Required: Active RN License Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare-related clinical field, or other hospital/healthcare management or quality/safety related field. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience providing over site. Minimum of five years of experience leading a hospital quality/patient safety program.
Demonstrated quality program leadership experience; knowledge of management principles, problem solving methodologies and analytical techniques. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills Critical thinking skills, flexibility and the ability to design innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
