* $8k Sign on Bonus offered for poistion
* (for new hires) Schedule: Day shift (. 8 FTE) 64 hours per pay period, with some call required. The PreOp RN department has a variety of 8, 9, and 10 hour shifts to meet employees FTE requirement. Unit Summary Our unit is composed of some of the best nurses in Southern Idaho.
This is a blend unit of periopertive sevices. The department cares for patients getting ready for and recovering from surgical procedures, it includes pre-op, PACU and SDS. The department requires that you be cross trained to two subunits, critical care experience is preferred to work in the PACU. We prepare and recover patients that require surgical interventions for service lines such as vascular, urology, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, gym, gastroenterology, and podiatry. We work very hard together to create an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients.
Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree Experience: 1+ year of PreOp, PACU/recovery, Critical Care and or ED experience highly preferred Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice ACLS and PALS highly preferred ***Please note – This Registered Nurse position is for nurses with 1+ years of RN experience .
