Registered Nurse Pre/Post/PACU 1.0 Full Time- Nampa

Nampa, Idaho, Overview St. Luke’s is recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join us in our strategy to be the community’s trusted partner in providing exceptional, patient- centered care. The Nampa team needs someone to work in PreOp, Post-op and PACU. PreOp has 18 bays for pre-op and phase 2 recovery. Pre-op is a medical/surgical unit specialized in preparing surgical patients for surgery. It is a fast-paced environment requiring the art of customer service, efficiency, and team work to safely prepare patients of all ages for surgery. PACU is a specialized area for patients to recover from anesthesia. The PACU is considered a critical care unit with 9 recovery bays. The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.

Schedule: FT 1. 0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) Monday – Friday 4 (10) hour shifts with a varied day off based on the surgery schedule. Responsibilities Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree Experience: 1 + years RN in PreOp, PACU and or critical care highly preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice ***Please note – This Registered Nurse position is for nurses with 1+ years of RN experience .
