Los Angeles, California, This position functions as a quality and performance excellence resource for the maternal child health units as assigned. Incorporates evidence-based practice standards into appropriate settings. Leads or actively participates in performance improvement projects based on performance outcomes and or regulatory requirements. Assesses the educational needs of the nursing staff and provides support to the Maternal Child Clinical Nurse Specialists for education as appropriate to meet the needs of the organization. Coordinates data entry into external data repositories. Coordinates the collection, evaluation, and dissemination of performance data relative to specified quality improvement programs within the hospital. Provides the data analysis, evaluation of process and systems to develop and execute plans for improvement and maintenance of nursing standards of care and management needs. Specific duties include but are not limited to project management, assistance in development of policies and procedures, education, performance improvement, information systems analysis and development, development of auditing/reporting tools.
