Adidas
To develop sales, gross margin, and inventory plans at a division, category, concept, and store level that support the company’s and channel objectives and are aligned to the Direct to Consumer (DTC) Retail growth strategy across Own Retail Stores and Franchise.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial and Merchant Planning
• Provide thorough merchant and financial analysis on a weekly basis: keying on the performance of the Retail channel by the concept and key categories with a specific focus on sales, margin, inventory productivity and contribution.
• Support and champion the adidas Group Pacific Open-To-Buy (OTB) process, working closely with finance, Demand Planning, Buying, and leadership to execute all inventory control projects with a focus on the Own Retail and Franchise businesses
• Provide leadership and support to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to ensure the needs and goals of both adidas are met as well as protecting the interest of the Retail channel in partnership with the Buying Manager.
• Guide and support Buying team and other cross-functional partners through the seasonal buying cycles, utilizing historical data and current trends to capitalize on new opportunities and identify risks.
• Create and maintain reports and analyses for the team on a weekly basis to ensure an up-to-date view at all times.
• Provide leadership by creating a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with cross-functional partners.
• Develop and deliver analysis to inform and guide decision-making, including weekly analysis and insights into product, channel, and store level sales performance
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with finance, demand planning, and the brand product teams.
• Influences the behavior and opinions of others using pertinent data and applying logic to gain consensus.
Inventory:
• Manage Own Retail channel inventory by monitoring stock in / stock out, sales and inventories rolling forecast, balance all KPI’s with company target including discount, margin, stock turns and week covers by concept.
• Review and monitor receipt plan and excess inventory flow and cooperate with related parties including business planning, finance and own retail team
• Work with Buying team for OTB calculation and receipt plan to achieve company targets and strategy
• Monitor/Review inventory planned production for Retail Stores with the Buyers
• Monthly inventory review and presentation with key stakeholders to ensure alignment, action, and transparency.
• Work with the Manager, Buying, and Sr. Director of Retail on monthly category budget phasing updates.
