Cleveland, Mississippi, Description Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Â Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Â Â Documents patient care given. Â Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Â Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Â Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Â Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Â Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Â Â Qualifications Minimum Education Registered Nurse: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
 Required Licenses Must have a current Mississippi Registered Nurse License or a current Compact State Registered license.  Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.  Certification: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
