Texas Health Hospital Mansfield- operates as a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth.   Schedule:   Full Time Shift :  36 hours weekly/ 12 hours shifts, rotate weekends Day shift: 7:00am – 7:00 pm, Night Shift: 7:00pm-7:00am, Monday – Sunday, Location: 2300 Lone Star Road; Mansfield, TX   76063 The community you’ll be caring for: The Labor & Delivery unit is comprised of spacious, beautifully decorated private   Labor/Delivery/Recovery Rooms equipped with state of the art technology for emergencies with moms and babies.   The unit has 5 L&D beds, 3 Postpartum Rooms, 2 Operating Suites, and 8 bed Level 1 NICU.   The unit delivers less than a 1000 deliveries a year in a patient and family-centered environment using a holisitic systematic environment approach. Our care extends to the spiritual needs of the patients and families through individualized prayer providing on call spiritual support via chaplain services, 24 hours, 7 days a week.

As a full partner of the healthcare team, the RN collaborates with all other healthcare disciplines to achieve successful execution of the patient’s plan-of-care.   The RN utilizes physical assessment skills and advanced diagnostic technology to aid in the assessment of the patient’s nursing care needs. Data collected is analyzed, synthesized, and disseminated to other healthcare providers. The RN continues to monitor and assess the patient’s physical condition, emotional and social needs, continually refining the plan-of-care to ensure achievement of the desired goals of the patient and facility outcomes.   Provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice utilizing standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery with the primary focus on patient outcomes and patient experience.

  Position requires experience in obstetrical nursing with clinical expertise/skills in the areas of OB triage, Labor and Delivery, Post-partum/Couplet Care, Antepartum, OB Operating Room, Recovery, and Level One Nursery.   The value you’ll bring to the team (but not limited to): ·        Consistently provide safe, therapeutic care to the obstetrical and well newborn patient to include care coordination and delivery of care utilizing clinical expertise. ·        Provide care for women before, during, and after labor and childbirth experience. Integrates knowledge, clinical skills, and experiences to meet the needs of the patients and families throughout the continuum of care, to include patient and family education/support. ·        Provide care for well newborns to include assisting with deliveries, immediate neonatal resuscitation of the newborn and continuum of care to include patient and family education/support.   ·        Effectively communicates the needs of the patient and family with respect and understanding of other clinical and ancillary disciplines using an integrative and collaborative approach. ·        Provide care in the operating room environment utilizing standards according to AORN protocols and practices for intraoperative and postoperative care.   ·        Demonstrates effective assessment skills in both high and low risk obstetrical patients. ·        Provides direction and guidance to others on the care team as needed for the delivery of care. May serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.

  Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed : ·        Associate degree or higher ·        Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN License from a NCLA Compact State ·        BLS certification ·        NRP certification (90 days from start date to obtain NRP certification) ·        ACLS certification for Labor and Delivery (90 days from start date to obtain NRP certification) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
