Shift : Monday-Friday Job Location : Hybrid; Altamonte Springs, FL The role you’ll contribute: The Senior Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for preparing and filing the annual Medicare, Medicaid, and Champus/Tricare cost reports; preparation of reopening and appeal papers, audit preparation and other cost report settlement activity and related analysis for third party financial statement reporting for AdventHealth. Additionally, this position collaborates with management in the reimbursement regulations and regulatory, operational, and financial impacts of proposed operational decisions. Duties assigned are performed under the oversight of the Reimbursement Manager. The value that you bring to the team: Prepare and submit accurate and timely cost reports as required by Medicare, Medicaid and other State or Federal agencies for AdventHealth’s hospitals Coordinate the Medicare, Medicaid and other State or Federal agency cost report audits, providing supporting documentation, reviewing audit adjustments, and responding to audit findings in a timely and efficient manner Communicate technical positions/arguments effectively to Medicare, Medicaid and other State or Federal agencies’ auditors to support positions taken on the hospital cost report, or other required reporting Update, review, and maintain supporting documentation for the Medicare and Medicaid third party settlement of each AdventHealth hospital according to standardized policies and procedures to properly reflect the financial reporting of third party balances of AdventHealth Review the reasonableness of hospital interim reimbursement rates and special payments received from Medicare and Medicaid and follow-up as appropriate Discuss hospital third party settlement results with hospitals’ financial leadership Maintain a working knowledge of current laws and regulations of the Federal Medicare and State Medicaid programs, including changes affecting hospital reimbursement of Medicare bad debt, graduate medical education, disproportionate share hospital adjustment, and uncompensated care payments Complete special projects assigned by the department manager or director within the time frame requested Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in healthcare reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid reimbursement and regulatory cost reporting Preferred qualifications: Proficient using Health Financial Systems (HFS) cost reporting software Certified Public Accountant (CPA) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
