Brief Description
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA), plus an Honours’ degree (or equivalent 4-year degree) with at least 10 years’ post-qualification work experience at an appropriate level of relevant actuarial practice, preferably in investments and/or life insurance. A Masters or PhD, as well as prior lecturing and supervision experience will be considered an advantage.
Duties:
Teaching, examining, course development and research, supervision of students for Honours’ projects, Masters’ research reports and dissertations, publishing research, and assisting in the management of the actuarial programme. The candidate would be expected to participate in the activities of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
