Elkton, Maryland, Are you service oriented and interested in working for an organization passionate about love and excellence. We are seeking a full-time Service Assistant I at our Union Hospital – Cecil campus. This position will primarily focus on Patient Escort – transporting patients to/from patient care and clinical service areas as directed by dispatchers or schedulers; as well as assist in housekeeping and laundry departments. The work schedule for this position is 7:00am-3:30pm and includes working every other weekend and rotating holidays. Education and experience requirements: Two years of customer service. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures. Ability to read and write at a high school level. Ability to understand and communicate. Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene. Ability to maintain a courteous, service oriented helpful attitude throughout the workday. Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift. Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients. Ability to use PDA/Smart Phones for job assignments.
