Position Summary

This position is responsible for
supporting all non-academic college functions such as conferences, events, meetings and activities with sound, lighting, and A/V technical
support. Additionally, the position is responsible for event coordination including planning, logistics and billing with a focus on chapel
services, performing arts, student activities, and facility rentals to external clients.

Education
Required

High School Diploma

Education Preferred

Technical school training in audio or
Associates Degree in Audio Engineering or
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Experience Required

Two
years of sound and lighting experience.

Experience Preferred

One year management experience
preferred.

Special Working Conditions

While the position generally works Monday-Friday daytime hours, there
is evening and weekend work required as driven by the event schedule. Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50 lbs. or more when
required; ability to ascend stairs and ladders; ability to work from heights, ability to stand for long periods of
time.

Primary
Duties

1. Coordinate all sound, lighting, stage, and audio visual technical requirements for all non-academic events on
campus. Organize schedules and equipment needs.
2. Operate sound and AV equipment for events and concerts, plus focus and set lights
according to design specifications as required.
3. Conference and event planning for intensive High Center and other events including
planning, preparation, production, logistics, final budget closeout and reconciliation for both internal and external clients.
4. Plan,
organize, develop and type event descriptions with a focus on sound such as chapels, student activities events, performing arts events, and
others as assigned.
5. Review technical riders and/or consult with clients to verify technical services and needs for all programs and
events requiring sound and lighting.
6. Maintain sound and lighting budget. Effectively purchase AV equipment and inventory with
purchasing card and/or requisitions as budgeted.
7. Contract with outside vendors to purchase, repair, and service all non-academic,
campus wide sound equipment and technical areas. Make minor repairs on equipment as needed
8. Supervise, schedule, and train a student
technical crew and the sound and lighting technician.
9. Responsible for monitoring the safety and organization of all technical areas,
facilities, and equipment on campus.
10. Maintain working knowledge of and adhere to fire safety and OSHA rules as they relate to event
set ups involving sound and lighting.
11. Oversee scheduling meeting and communicate effectively with campus service providers.
12.
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
