Houston, Texas, JOB SUMMARY The Senior Design Strategist (SDS) leads enterprise-wide design efforts in partnership with in-house and external designers. Develops and executes complex, organization-wide design and creative strategies for all lines of business by leveraging design expertise to advance the Community Health Choice brand. The SDS leads creative direction and creative concepting to continuously invigorate the expression of the brand, while still maintaining its integrity. Responsible for overseeing design workstream(s) for all LOBs through all touchpoints including materials from our delegates and internal initiatives, the SDS ensures alignment with our overall creative and brand strategy, while assuring the highest standards of design. Leads the yearly strategic brand and design planning effort, develops the design testing strategy, measures success by defining goals and objectives, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on results, and provides ongoing branding and design recommendations based on insights from testing and design feedback. Mentor and empower lower-level designers through sharing of design best practices and knowledge of identity systems, composition, typography, graphic design, color, layout, iconography, photography, and strategic creative expression in support of design and marketing excellence across projects. Stays apprised of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, and resources, as well as maintains a positive, energetic approach to the practice of design to solve complex problems with simple, engaging, and elevated solutions. Demonstrate self-motivation and an ability to balance great design while meeting short deadlines. Must have ability to oversee and manage multiple projects, draft timelines/meet deadlines, work autonomously, and assist with prioritization and project workflow JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES Essential Functions Lead enterprise-wide design efforts in partnership with in-house and external designers Oversee design workstreams for all LOBs, through all touchpoints including materials from our delegates and internal initiatives to ensure they. re aligned with our overall creative and brand strategy, along with overseeing the work of all designers to achieve desirable outcomes and assure the highest standards of design.

Shape brand standards, developing strategy and maintaining visual brand integrity to ensure all product and general marketing is brand- appropriate. In addition to leading the yearly creative planning effort, develop the testing strategy to provide ongoing strategic branding and design recommendations. Develop and execute complex, enterprise-wide design and creative strategies for all LOBs by leveraging visual communication expertise to advance the brand. Develop and lead creative direction and creative concepting to continuously invigorate the expression of the brand and develop breakthrough creative campaigns, while still maintaining brand integrity. Leads the yearly creative branding plan effort, develops the design testing strategy, and provides ongoing design recommendations driven by feedback and insights. Mentor and empower lower-level designers to advance project goals through sharing of design best practices and knowledge of identity systems, composition, typography, graphic design, color, layout, iconography, photography, and strategic creative expression in support of design and marketing excellence across projects. Marginal Functions Demonstrate self-motivation and an ability to balance great design while meeting short deadlines. Is able to oversee and manage multiple projects, draft timelines/meet deadlines, work autonomously, and assist with prioritization and project workflow. Works collaboratively with project owner(s), clients, key stakeholders, writer(s), and leadership to conceptualize effective creative solutions and oversee creative development. Responsible for project financial and resource management, including monitoring and reporting of man-hours against budget, if working with contractor support.

Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor degree in graphic design, fine arts or a related field required. Work Experience (Years and Area): 5+ years of senior-level design experience and 2+ years of training lower level employees required. Management Experience (Years and Area): N/A Software Proficiencies: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) Acrobat required.
