Wilmington, Delaware, Nemours is seeking a Sr Quality Assurance Engineer (Web Solutions), Full-Time, to join our Nemours Children’s Health team. This is a Remote position. As part of the Nemours Center for Health Delivery Innovation, Web Solutions develops best-in-class capabilities to power digital content and websites including Nemours. org and KidsHealth. org. Enabling users and patient families with digital health resources supports the Nemours Children’s Health vision of going Well Beyond Medicine. The team utilizes design thinking and Agile methodologies to re-platform experiences into a new cloud-based Adobe infrastructure, enhancing both the user experience and technical architecture. This position will be responsible for the automated testing of consumer-facing websites including and content syndication applications. The toolset utilized will include Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber and Percy. The role is focused on key test philosophies of ‘Test Early, Test Fast, Test Deep,’ humanizing test efforts and the end-user experience.

An individual who embraces the latest engineering trends like in-sprint and DevOps and focuses on continuous test automation and multi-layer testing will be successful. The role will leverage open-source accelerators, customize and build reusable automation frameworks and assets to optimize test efforts. Responsible for using Agile/Scrum methodology for software development in a DevOps environment utilizing continuous integration and deployment scripts, Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing. Passionate about the craft of quality assurance in an Agile software development environment. Able to effectively write test cases and test steps that demonstrate an understanding of requirements and visual designs using Jira, Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber and Percy. Responsible for designing and executing manual and automated test strategies. Leverage expertise with web application testing procedures, techniques, and tools, including test planning and case writing. Support products and experiences. Test, troubleshoot and analyze complex system problems to identify issues and validate fixes. Coordinate with the Web Solutions team for the daily operation of applications and with regard to the deployment process from development area to pre-production to staging to production, validating development artifacts as they’re promoted.

Assess and make recommendations regarding tools, languages, methodologies, and processes pertaining to the work of the Web Solutions team. In addition to maintaining existing applications, should be willing to step into new projects/technologies. Manage team demands on his/her time and show willingness to delegate technical execution or responsibilities when appropriate. Job Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent on-the-job experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree. A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, during which both technical and professional capabilities have been clearly demonstrated. 3 years of hands-on experience as a QA (Web Application Testing) Automation Engineer, ideally with experience testing a CMS platform (AEM, Sitecore, Drupal). Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks for Web Applications using a variety of automation testing tools – Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Percy, other widely used tools in the industry.
