Valhalla, New York, Job Summary: Reporting to Category Manager of Supply Chain Management, the Sr. Value Analysis Coordinator is responsible for identifying opportunities for strategic programs with existing or new trading partners in collaboration with internal departments, handling healthcare purchasing and service contracts, perform analytics, and looking for cost-saving opportunities that creates value that creates value for WMCHealth Network. This individual will manage and coordinate data, opportunities, and initiatives as well as develop relationships with stakeholders, nurses, physicians, and other stakeholders. This individual will engage key internal departments to standardize contracts and spend across WMCHealth Network. This individual will interact with vendor representatives to prepare and ensure the execution of contracts, negotiate preferable terms for the organization, and provide analytics to support sourcing and value analysis areas. Additionally, this individual will lead the process for specific supply/service categories. Responsibilities: Adhere to and support the overall Mission and Vision of WMCHealth Network. Manages day to day product and/ or service requests based on established guidelines and procedures for valued recommendation while adhering to group purchasing organization (GPO) agreements and WMCHealth Network respective procurement rules. Interprets data to identify variation in process and product to optimize cost quality, patient outcomes, and utilization. Researches and validate each initiative, project, or services, including and not limited to: Clinical evidence, recalls and FDA MAUDE Events, reference accounts, and key attributes or competitive alternatives.
Works with the Category manager and departments to identify cost savings opportunities. Manages a contracts portfolio. Negotiates contractual terms and conditions and works with Supervision, Legal and Risk Management as required to insure the risk to the Medical Center is minimized. Communicate proactive review of contracts expiring within six months for large contracts requiring physician involvement. Manages the implementation of underutilized agreements, standardization of products and services, rationalization of duplicative products and services. Develops relationships with internal customers and suppliers to act in the best interest of the organization. Performs financial value and/or lease versus buy analysis as required. Commits hospital authorized funds and monitors supplier performance. Conducts Strategic Sourcing projects in accordance with hospital policies and Federal procurement regulations, covering all Medical Center locations across multiple sites. Researches products and prices; identifies qualified suppliers; obtains technical and/or performance specifications; performs financial and value analysis.
Works with the office of Legal Affairs to review contract terms and conditions. Works closely with vendors to execute new contracts or contract amendments. Conducts accurate & timely reporting of savings against goals. Support commitment to group purchasing organizations and strategic partner agreements. Prepares agreements that departments request for service, trial, purchase, consignment, and lease. Enters contract pricing information into multiple systems to ensure pricing accuracy for purchases. Handle product conversions with Value Creation Committees and other stakeholders. Collaborate with clinicians, educators, and contract specialists to support implementation plan and staff education. Report to WMC Compliance Office on all product requests involving a Conflict of Interest. Works with Sourcing team to identify Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (“MWBE”) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (“SDVOB”) opportunities.
Communicates contract fees and payment schedules to the Accounts Payable team. Ensure procurement rules are followed. Track all initiatives throughout the process. Prepares agreements that departments request for service, trial, purchase, consignment, and lease. Enters contract pricing information into multiple systems to ensure pricing accuracy for purchases. Support committee leaders in developing agendas, meeting minutes, and providing documents. Validate completion of supply chain analysis portion of committee packet. Support commitment to group purchasing organizations and strategic partner agreements. Perform other Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: Experience: 4-6 years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in value analysis, contract management, business analytics, or procurement of goods, services or construction, required.
Education: (Associate Degree Required or minimum of five years experience) Bachelors Degree preferred. Licenses / Certifications: AHRMM CMRP within two years. Other: Exposure to various ERP systems e. g. Allscripts, Infor, or Cerner (preferred). Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel queries and reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various levels of the organization. Strong ability to work quickly and accurately while handling competing priorities.
