Brief Job Description
The Assistant Production Manager/ Audio Engineer functions primarily as the Performing Arts Center Head Sound Engineer and oversees all technical and equipment use in the Ciminelli Recital Hall and the LoRusso recording studio. Acting as the Recital Hall Manager they are also the direct-report supervisor of all Ciminelli Recital Hall FOH and technical staff during events. Additional responsibilities for the music department include serving as a liaison with rental clients, students, faculty, and campus events management to coordinate usage of the Hall. Responsibilities include ensuring all audio needs for clients performing in the PAC are met, helping train new staff and students on equipment and systems, and overseeing day-to-day PAC technical operations in the absence of the Production Manager.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Progressive experience in live performance production
Understanding of sound, lighting and video equipment
Experience training and supervising staff in technical production
Ability to work nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of DANTE and Pro Tools
