Houston, Texas, JOB SUMMARY: Collects and analyzes data from local, state, and national sources to identify emerging health trends, gaps in services, health inequities, and health needs related to Harris County Texas and Harris Health’s patient population. Develop and prepare analytical reports that support data driven decisions to support the organization’s strategic priorities, identify and build community partners, develop legislative messaging to support health policy and other operational goals identified in the Strategic Plan. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Masters degree in hospital administration, business administration, public health, public affairs, or related field ( i. e. BSN) Work Experience (Years and Area): 7 years of health care experience in improving and/or addressing health inequities in disadvantaged patient populations. Equipment Operated: Computer SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Exceptional Verbal (e. g. , Public Speaking), Writing /Composing Reports Other Skills: Analytical, Mathematics, Statistical, P. C. , MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Esri Community Analyst System (Strong Proficiency), Geo Targeted Mapping Work Schedule: Flexible; Eligible for Telecommute Other Requirements: GIS skills, Esri software
