Dallas, Texas, JOB SUMMARY The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is accountable for supporting the sourcing and contracting process and supplier management processes of strategic sourcing by focusing on development on quantitative capabilities. This position is instrumental in the execution of commodity strategies for various categories of spend and is a focal point to the business and all other areas of Supply Chain. The primary focus of this position is mining data, gathering insights, data management, and analytical support. In addition, this position is relied upon to develop KPI’s/dashboards, trace value delivery, optimize systems, and suggest modifications to sourcing strategies accordingly. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE Mines spend data, financial reports, utilization data, and market information to gather insights regarding assigned product categories and provide analytical support to sourcing team. Develops KPI dashboarding through collaboration with internal and external team members and vendor representatives. Leads communication of KPI performance and trends to internal and external partners during QBR sessions. Continuously engages with end-users and Commodities Directors to know market pressures and impact on sourcing strategy. Provides ongoing help for requests for non-strategic products or services as required by the business. Assists with year over year cost reduction strategies through the standardization of products and pursuit of best possible commodity/service costs.

Participates in Request for Proposals (RFPs) for new or existing products and services. Ensures pricing is effective and accurate in the system to enable automated buying and establish root cause of bottlenecks in automating purchases due to item/contract setup. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in source to settle system through contract structure correction and optimization. Responsible for providing regular data recommendations to stakeholders and identifying areas of improvement. Continuously maintain and improve internal benchmarking capabilities for medical equipment purchases. Monitors market information, benchmarking, product introduction and other drives that impact comparative position of contracts. Tracks and reports value delivery for assigned spend categories. Generates ad hoc reporting as required by the business. KEY SUCCESS FACTORS Expert-level skills with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access Database (ODBC). Strong data analysis skills.

Working knowledge of Healthcare Supply Chain processes. Ability to quickly learn new software and applications. Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization. Ability to apply critical thinking to complex problems to develop viable solutions. Knowledge of sourcing and/or contracting process best practices and measurement techniques. Data-based skills with ability to manipulate large volumes of spend data for examination of supplier, product and facility utilization. Knowledge of finance and accounting impact of assigned areas of spend.
