Gold Fields has a primary listing on the JSE Limited, with secondary listings on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Swiss Exchange (SWX).The HR Supervisor occupies a key operational role in delivering support and tactical people management interventions to enable and entrench the transformational people leadership journey at South Deep. Accountable to the HR Business Partner, the incumbent interfaces with operational line leadership and their teams to deliver efficient and quality HR support in relation to Talent Management, Employee Relations, Attendance management, Talent Acquisition, Leadership and Change initiatives
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 qualification or equivalent
Tertiary qualified with a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field
Intermediate Computer skills (Microsoft Office suite)
Human Resources Information Systems knowledge and experience
Have at least 5 years’ relevant experience in a HR environment, with a proven track record on a supervisory level, preferably in the mining industry
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre

Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage with business to define and compile workforce planning schedules/labour requirements
Refine and maintain workforce planning standards and norms including productivity and efficiency metrics as primary workforce planning inputs into cyclical labour forecasting and budgeting preparation
Maintain regular workforce planning, strength/vacancy analysis and availability reports (monthly, quarterly, annually, ad-hoc, etc
Ensure that role profiles are current, and updated as required prior to drafting role adverts for publishing
Engage with line leaders and discipline leads to determine sourcing priorities aligned to transformation and talent management needs i.e., targeted sourcing to ensure potential candidate profile match
Shortlist job applicants based on role and legislative requirements with line and oversee interview and selection logistics
Create bespoke onboarding programmes in partnership with line
Support the HRBP to prepare and oversee annual Performance Management and Talent Review processes and assist and advise discipline line leaders to prepare for these sessions
Advise and assist line leaders to develop and source appropriate employee development interventions
Prepare accurate and timely employee attendance/availability reports and trend analysis and, lead interventions to address as delegated
Participate in and support the development of various leadership development and culture transformation interventions
Lead various campaigns with front line leaders and their teams designed to reinvigorate leadership and team effectiveness to embed the South Deep values, culture, leadership, behaviours and performance
Provide people leadership within the department by managing workload, assigning tasks, and reviewing/recognising outputs of team members
