Systems Integrator
The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization in the world (representing over 74,000 pilots at 42 U.S. and Canadian airlines) seeks an experienced Systems Integrator for our McLean, Virginia, office. The Systems Integrator keeps the Association’s various Information Technology systems operating at their maximum potential while keeping the applications as responsive as possible to the Association’s user departments. They provide both support and analysis for a variety of Information Technology projects and services. May need to travel as required to support remote offices.
Travel: 5 – 10%.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area, e.g., computer science with a specialization in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, from an accredited college or university required; master’s degree or completion of post-graduate courses in related field preferred; or, the equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
- Five (5) years of experience, as well as experience with integrating technologies, ten (10) or more strongly preferred. At management discretion, significant and in-depth, directly applicable, experience may be substituted for some of the above requirements.
- Expertise with all editions of Windows Server, Windows desktop operating system software (multiple versions), SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, Azure, and O365.
- Experience with Aptify and/or Lawson.
- Experience with internet and web application design/development
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with systems users.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written, for effective interaction with all levels of contacts, internal and external.
- Must be able to exercise initiative with professional maturity and sound judgment and be capable of independent decision-making.
- Must possess strong time management skills; be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment; and transition easily between projects.

Constantly operates a computer/smartphone/tablet. Regularly required to maintain a stationary position, move about the office and the local metropolitan area, determine what others have said or written, and converse with others and exchange accurate information.
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the office and travel locally and nationally; international travel may be required infrequently. Also includes occasional bending, stooping, squatting, and/or pushing and pulling or moving, e.g., to pack, unpack, and/or move cases.
Occasionally required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, books, boxes, and files up to ten (10) pounds (lbs.). While on travel, may be responsible to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve luggage weighing as much as fifty (50) lbs. (Assistance may not always be available.)
