Pompton Plains/NJ/USA, Overview Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Unit Associate I for the Emergency Department at Chilton Medical Center to work 11AM – 11PM, including every other weekend. Responsibilities Essential Function/Responsibilities: Reports directly to the RN. Answers phones; places call for consults, transfer center, patient transfers for critical code stroke or code stemi calls Acknowledges physician orders Answers call bells and notifies RN Greets patients and families Unit rounding; clinical audits, including handwashing Computer experience and medical terminology experience required Proper telephone etiquette and monitors supply levels,stocking supplies Coordinates physician on-call schedule Good communication & interpersonal skills Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required Minimum Experience: Unit Associate experience strongly preferred.
