VICE PRESIDENT FOR FINANCE
The University of Providence seeks applications and
nominations outstanding candidates to consider for the position of Vice President for Finance. The successful candidate will be a
student-centric, collaborative and transparent person of high character, a seasoned finance leader with progressively responsible
experiences in higher education, who will partner with the President and senior leadership team to strengthen the financial health and
broaden the strategic vision of the University.
The University of Providence is a four-year, private, Catholic liberal arts
university offering both face to face and online programs, with its main campus located on 44 park-like acres in Great Falls, Montana.
Founded by the Sisters of Providence in 1932, the University is a ministry of Providence Health System and continues to create academic
programs to address current and future workforce needs for the healthcare system and industry as well as other needs within the larger
region.
The University is fully accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and offers 30 undergraduate and
six graduate academic programs through the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Health Professions. Nearly 400 students
matriculate on campus and participate in numerous recreational and club activities and organizations.
The Vice President for Finance
reports to the President and provides executive leadership and guidance for all financial and human resources aspects of the University. As
a key strategic leader, the Vice President evaluates existing systems and plans, develops, and implements modifications and/or new
procedures relating to the financial operations of the University and is accountable for all outcomes by ensuring proper legal and
regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Vice President are the Controller and the Director of Human Resources.
The Vice President for
Finance at the University of Providence will be an experienced financial executive who brings energy and enthusiasm to their craft. They
possess the ability to make difficult decisions in a dynamic environment with the goal of always moving the University forward. They have a
reputation for implementing best practices to maximize results in a tuition dependent institution, including tuition discounting. The Vice
President will envision and implement opportunities to increase net revenue that provide the University the resources to make wise choices
benefitting all members of the University community. A master’s degree in business administration or a related field is required, with
a doctorate preferred. The CPA licensure is preferred. The salary range for the position is $150,000 – $190,000.
