Job Description

Vice President for Inclusion
An independent, highly selective, coeducational institution of
approximately 2,700 students, Lafayette College is seeking an innovative and accomplished leader to serve as its inaugural Vice President
for Inclusion. Working directly with Nicole F. Hurd, the College’s 18th President, a passionate advocate for equity and college access, this
senior level appointment will afford an unprecedented opportunity for a dynamic leader to provide vision and direction to Lafayette
College’s work in the areas of equity, inclusion, and belonging.

The Vice President for Inclusion (VPI) will serve as the senior
administrator charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive plan that connects, leverages, and furthers equity and inclusion
efforts on campus. Leading with vision and buoyed by a willing collective of others committed to the work, the VPI will forge a path and
direction in grounding a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners.
Collaborative partners across the institution welcome the opportunity to work with the VPI to promote and develop a community of learners
who embrace opportunities to grow their knowledge and understanding around diversity and inclusion and seek to act toward fostering and
affirming a culture that supports equity and belonging across the community.

The Vice President will join the College at a pivotal
moment in its history. With a celebration of Lafayette’s bicentennial to occur in 2026, the President is undertaking both a strategic plan
and a campus master plan to ensure the College enters its third century on a strong foundation. Part of this plan includes a more
comprehensive and strategic approach to the equity work already occurring in areas across the institution. Through initiatives such as the
campus-wide Committee for
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
and well-established programs: the Office of Intercultural
Development
, the Hanson Center for Inclusive
STEM Education
, and the Center for
the Integration of Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship
just to name a few, the College delivers on a strong commitment to equity and
inclusion work. To move this work to the next level, however, the institution is in need of coordination and a unifying vision.

With this goal in mind, the College seeks an accomplished leader and educator with experience developing diversity, equity, and
inclusion initiatives and programs within a complex and collaborative organization where shared governance is the norm. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in equity and inclusion work, preferably in a college or university setting, and have a proven track record of
program development and implementation. They will have the ability to work across the institution as a collaborator, convener, and partner
to move forward a creative and ambitious plan for Lafayette College’s third century as a leader and innovator in building a community of
belonging and flourishing for all.

All applications, nominations and inquiries are invited. Applications should include, as
separate documents, a CV or resume and a letter of interest addressing the themes in the leadership profile at WittKieffer.com.
