Job Description

Nevada State College – Vice President of Finance and Business Operations NV, Henderson

Nevada State College invites inquiries, nominations and applications
for its next Vice President of Finance and Business Operations (VPFBO).

Nevada
State, a four-year Minority Serving public institution, committed to the advancement of a diverse and largely under-served student
population of more than 7,000, is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Business Operations to lead Nevada State into the next chapter of
its story and build upon the fundamental tenets of the college’s mission. The primary focus of Nevada State’s mission is
“the New Majority” – first-generation students, Dreamers, adults with college credit but without college degrees, students
of color, and anyone looking for the opportunity to improve their economic mobility. Nestled among the foothills of Mount Scorpion in
Henderson, Nevada, Nevada State’s 512-acre campus is rapidly developing to meet a growing student population with dynamic
programs.

Nevada State was established in 2002 as a new tier in the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) between the research
universities and the two-year colleges. Designated a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and Asian American and Native American Pacific
Islander Institution (AANAPISI), Nevada State is an institution where teaching and student support are valued above all else. Nevada State
is a comprehensive college that offers baccalaureate and graduate degrees with more than 60 majors and minors in the School of Education,
the School of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Business, and the School of Nursing.

Reporting to the President DeRionne Pollard, the VPFBO will serve as Nevada State’s chief financial officer, ensuring that all
aspects of the finances, business, operations and facilities work collaboratively to support our diverse student body and dynamic faculty
and staff.

The VPFBO is responsible for a campus-wide enterprise of $60 million and facilitates financial strength and
sustainability, operational effectiveness, and the delivery of optimized services for the functional units of finance and budget, human
resources, information technology, facilities maintenance, capital planning and construction and auxiliary services. Additionally, the VPFBO
is responsible for overseeing the strategic allocation and provision of shared resources and services that support the students, faculty and
staff of a rapidly growing institution.

The VPFBO plays a critical role in developing and implementing effective fiscal
management, administrative support, operational strategies, and the development and build out of the rapidly expanding campus. As a member
of the president’s executive team, senior staff, and leadership, the VPFBO will be a vital strategic partner to the president and the
senior leadership as they implement Nevada State’s bold and innovative strategic plan; identify and leverage new revenue generation
opportunities; continuously assess structures, policies, and practices for maximum effectiveness; and affirm and advance an inclusive
workplace and culture, rooted in equity. The VPFBO should be a forward thinking, solution-oriented, collaborative, and savvy leader whose
style builds trust within the campus community and across the myriad of Nevada State partners and constituent groups.

The VPFBO will
be adept at change management, with the ability to advocate for and bolster a suite of institutional services, motivate and inspire
colleagues, and manage complex and intersecting priorities, while maintaining forward momentum. The VPFBO will have the ability to coalesce
institutional priorities and achieve transformative results using appropriate technology and sophisticated data analysis to inform strategic
decisions and recommendations.

Demonstrated progressively responsible experience, expertise, and successful outcomes leading
financial strategy, budget, and/or business operations teams across a complex structure. An earned bachelor’s degree in business,
public administration, accounting, finance, or a closely related field is required while an earned advanced degree is strongly
preferred.

All applications, nominations and inquiries are invited. Applications should include, as separate documents, a letter of
interest addressing the themes in the profile and a CV or resume. Professional references are not requested at this time. WittKieffer is
